di Lazise, it is a small country of the hinterland gardesano
Veneto, renowned for its thermal park that rises inside of one Villa of
age. Other villas of several ages are re-united in this small but
fascinating village. Some are going back to XV century. Also the
emperor Charles the V in April of 1530, stayed here. Other
personalities stayed in these places in more recent times. In fact in
September 1943, Villa dei Cedri, actually Thermal Park, became the
German general commando of Northern Italy.
Annually, between sacred and profane is the anniversary of "The
Madonna of the Snow". The history makes to go back to a tragic event in
17° the century; in fact, in the 1630 plague and later on in the
1836 and 1855 cholera, they decimated the already weak population of
the village and the 5 of August one strongest snowed had the better on
the epidemic. Symbol of this recurrence has been and is still the
church dedicated the Madonna of the Snow, erected in the first half of
1600, on a small hill to limiting of the country, which is dedicated to
the Madonna for its intercession.
